Here’s a sneak peak at fifth grade:  In Reading we will take a deeper look at different genres and their characteristics. As writers we will be developing our craft as we use the writing process to publish multiple pieces. In Math we will be working with larger numbers and learning about parts of a whole. Social Studies will be an exploration of our country and how it came to be.  In Science we will start the year investigating life on our planet and how it interacts with its environment.  Our studies in Science will prepare us for our trip to environmental camp in the spring!  We are going to be very busy !
    
I believe it is very important that we work together as a classroom community.  We will be spending a lot of time together so it is important that we treat each other with respect and kindness.  We are all individuals who think and learn differently.  It is my job and pleasure to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.  Be prepared to work hard and have lots of laughs together!
