The Saint Mary of the Annunciation School annual fundraiser, hosted by the PTO, will be held on April 28, 2023. This year’s theme will be “Mad Hatter’s Ball.” We are excited for families of St. Mary’s to join us for an adults-only evening to raise money for the school and have a fun night of dinner, dancing, and fundraising!
WHEN IS THE GALA?
This year’s gala will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023.

WHAT DOES THE GALA RAISE MONEY FOR?
Tuition payments are only a portion of the school’s budget. It takes a significant parish subsidy and other donations to completely fulfill our budgetary needs. This event is St. Mary’s major fundraiser, and the proceeds directly benefit the St. Mary’s students, teachers and classrooms. The success of this event allows our PTO to fund in-house educational programs, books, classroom technology and other essential educational needs.
WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A GALA TICKET?
Single gala tickets are $100.
WHAT WILL THE EVENING BE LIKE?
There will be appetizers, a buffet dinner and dessert. Fundraising activities will include a silent auction, wine pull and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be a magic mirror photo booth and dancing.
HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?
Invitations will be sent out to each St. Mary’s family in early March 2023. RSVP cards will be included to be sent back to the St. Mary’s PTO Gala Co-Chairs. There will be limited tickets due to the size of the event space. Tickets will be on a first come, first served basis.
IF I BUY A “TICKET,” WILL I GET AN ACTUAL TICKET?
No. There are no physical tickets. You’ll check in according to your last name. If you and your date or party have different last names, you’ll check in according to the name you used to buy the tickets.
WILL THERE BE A BAR FOR DRINKS?
There will be a cash-only bar available.
HOW WILL THE SILENT AUCTION WORK?
The silent auction will be from 7pm-9:30pm. You will be able to view the items at the gala to be able to bid. Before the end of the night we will announce the winners to be able to pay and take home their prizes that night.
IS THERE A THEME FOR THE GALA, AND DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO DRESS UP?
This year’s theme is Mad Hatter’s Ball. Don your best gala apparel with your own touch of “madness” or “hattness!” Some people may choose to wear tuxedo and long gowns or cocktail dresses and suits. Hats not required. The point is to come and have fun with our St. Mary’s community!
AM I GUARANTEED A SEAT WITH AN OPEN SEATING TICKET?
Yes! There will be plenty of tables and seating available for guests to enjoy dinner before hitting the dance floor! Open seating is on a first come basis and not reserved for the entirety of the night.
CAN I RESERVE A TABLE?
We are not managing a seating chart. Tables will seat 10 people. If you would like to have a table with your friends, you can have 1 person RSVP for 10 tickets and we can then reserve a table for your group.
WILL PARKING BE AVAILABLE?
Yes, Anthony’s of Malden has a parking lot available. Safety is the top priority, so we highly recommend Uber, Lyft, etc. if you plan to partake in adult beverages.
IS THIS A PRIVATE EVENT OR OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
Invitations will be sent exclusively to current St. Mary’s families. You are welcome to extend your invitation to past and present St. Mary’s families and friends to attend. You will be responsible to RSVP and pay for their tickets on their behalf.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
We would love for each family to donate an item or their time! It takes a lot of effort to organize and pull off this fundraiser event! Anything you can contribute is welcome!

Tickets are on a first come, first served basis so we will not hold tickets.Our goal is to fill the space and welcome as many people as possible to support and fundraise for St. Mary’s. To ensure your tickets, please RSVP at your earliest convenience.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF OUR PLANS CHANGE?
No refunds will be honored, as we are under contract and need to pay in full prior to the event. You can always try to sell your tickets privately.
